Chata Lysečiny

The location and surroundings of the hut

The hut finds itself two kilometers from Horní Maršov in an enjoyable environment of the eastern Giant Mountains in the Czech Republic. In the surrounding there is a lot of nice tourist routes of lengths of 4-30 km. The trips are possible to be combined with a regular bus connection from Horní Maršov.

Sněžka Sněžka (1602 m – the highest mountain in the Czech Republic)

Tips for trips

Our favourite trip begins with a bus connection to Pec p. Sněžkou, from there uphill by the cableway to the top of the Sněžka mountain and following the red route through Luční bouda and Výrovka back.

Other nice route is from the Sněžka mountain back the opposite direction following the red route to Pomezní boudy through Lysečinsá bouda back to our hut.

By the way from Malá Úpa there is a nice playground, football ground, far-reaching meadows and a nice outdoor seating in a local restaurant. The route is 17 kilometers.

The interesting and educational option is a trip to Stachelberg – the largest bunker in the Czech Republic. There is an army museum and tours to the undergound stronghold are also possible. The route leads from the hut through Mravenečník and is 11 kilometers long.

A nice trip is the one to Jánské Lázně (spa town). From Horní Maršov you go a bit uphill and then following the contour line of the hill through a forest untill you go downhill to Jánské Lázně. That route is about 6,5 kilometers.
